In the Sales Assistant role, you will support the firm's market research, sales, and marketing activities. You will source and review new business requests, create a calendar of future potential engagements, collect and analyze data from various online grant databases, assist with updating Zoho CRM (our sales system), and assist with a variety of other research and projects that will help support and provide direction for our business development efforts.
•Search Request For Proposals (RFP) for relevant procurement opportunities.
•Identify target clients and online profiles to support sales activities.
•Analyze data in the grants industry to quantify market size.
•Conduct special research projects relevant to procurement.
•Manage Freedom of Information requests.
•Assist with marketing and sales presentations or activities.
•Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.
•Compile lead data using Leadership Connect, state and federal websites, RFPs, and LinkedIn.
•Format data for upload to Zoho CRM.
•Clean and standardize existing lead data in Zoho CRM.
•Research “lost” leads and enter updated contact information into Zoho CRM.
•Enter and update RFP information in Zoho.
•Other sales and marketing support activities, as needed.
Bachelor's degree in market research or a related business, communications, or social science field or equivalent experience.
At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong experience in Zoho or a similar customer relationship management system.
Strong research skills.
High degree of organizational skills.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel. Must be skilled in pivot tables.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid understanding of different marketing techniques and data collection methods.
