Treasury Details How Tribal Governments Can Access ARPA Funds

The Department of the Treasury’s State and Local Fiscal Recovery Program final ruling issued last week details how Native American tribes can access the $20 billion of American Rescue Plan funds, including a revenue loss allowance of $10 million and a broader list of capital expenditures and additional funds for tribal development districts. "Households and communities served by Tribal governments are presumed to be disproportionately impacted by the public health and negative economic impacts of the pandemic, thereby allowing Tribal governments to provide them with a wide range of services without requiring additional analysis,” the regulation said.
